SPOUTANÝ TRÁVOU (BOUND BY GRASS)

About

A naked monk, an emperor, a general and an elephant tell stories about life, death and tiny insects.
Texts from The Compass of Zen (Seung Sahn) and Les plus beaux contes zen (Henri Brunel) encompass the topics of respect for life in its most subtle and overlooked forms, as well as the meaning of life in a more general sense.
The play combines natural materials and striking metal puppets. Unique visuals are created by using puppets and shadow-play simultaneously both in front of and behind a paper screen.

Followed by a shadow-puppet workshop with the creators, more details here.
