Fringe reimagined

This autumn, harnessing the Fringe spirit of resilience, we are adapting...

By their very nature, Fringe festivals are informed by, and adapt in reaction to the surrounding social and political climate. This autumn, harnessing this Fringe spirit of resilience, we are also adapting.

Since our Prague Fringe Online event in May, we've been busy planning a rescheduled, reimagined live event.

Instead of bringing ground-breaking work from around the world to the Czech Republic as we do for a ‘normal’ festival, we are flipping things on their head, and will instead be curating a programme of incredible Czech work and live-streaming it to the rest of the world.

From 24th - 28th November, audiences will be able to enjoy a variety of Czech productions live in the theatre here in Prague (subject to the epidemiological situation), or via our website, or via international screenings in venues hosted by our Fringe partners around the world.

All the exciting details are currently being finalised, so watch this space for updates coming soon. You can follow the Facebook event here

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our international 2020 Fringe artists who have been patiently and enthusiastically waiting in the wings in the hope of performing this year - some of whom you saw during Prague Fringe Online in May, and some we hope to present during the 20th anniversary festival in 2021.

If you’re looking for a Fringe-fix in the meantime, you can catch our Prague-based international artist Meghana AT with her one-woman performance ‘Plan B/C/D/E’ as part of the Praha Září festival. Full details on their website here

This project is being made possible with support from the Ministry of Culture, the City of Prague and the Avast Foundation. We would also like to thank the British Council, Prague College and Prague British International School for their ongoing support through this challenging time.
